Alana De La Garza has earned a reputation in TV. In 1976 De La Garza was born to a Mexican-American father as well as an Irish-American mom in Columbus Ohio. In the next few years, she moved to Texas to pursue a physical therapy career at the University of Texas. De La Garza didn't last long in Texas and moved to Orlando Florida where she experienced various acting roles including local independent films and world-wide commercials. Despite the small role, she found that acting was her love. After that, she relocated in New York in 2001 and she got her first role on the soap as Rosa Santos on All My Children A daytime soap. Through the early part of 2000, she acted tiny roles in JAG Las Vegas as well as Two and a Half Men. Her first big series role was the short-lived series The Mountain. De La Garza starred as Maria Serrano alongside top TV celebrities like Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley, Mitch Pileggi. In 2006, she was cast as A.D.A. in Law & Order. Connie Rubirosa. The actress was featured in 85 episodes. Her character on the Law & Order: LA spinoff was only a few episodes. De La Garza was nominated numerous times for her performance as a character, and among them was Best Supporting Actress in Television from the Imagen Foundation Awards. The year 2008 was the time she won the Impact Award from the National Hispanic Media Coalition to recognize Outstanding performance in a Dramatic Television Series. In the next few days, De La Garza was cast on CSI Miami in a recurring role. She played Marisol Deko and was also the the wife of David Caruso's character Horatio. She was Dr. Lena Solis in NBC's dark drama Do No Harm. Alyssa Milano was cancelled by NBC following only two episodes.
